Diversity Center sets open house for April 7

The Generation Y 2000 Diversity Center (GY2KC) will hold a community open house for area youths and their families to attend from noon to 5 p.m. April 7.

A 2,400-square-foot building at 447 S. Main St. is being renovated to reopen as the GY2KC during the first week of May to benefit local youths — most specifically ages 14-24, said Brandon Bennett, president and CEO of Back to the Basics Please. Read the rest of this entry

Yuma LGBTQ Youth Night: SATURDAY, June 25th!

2. Mr. Caleb Laieski is a young LGBT advocate who has been appointed to sit on a White House committee to counter bullying in schools. Mr. Laieski is a Nationally recognized LGBT rights advocate with a personal story regarding his own experiences of high school bullying.
